Samantha Kim

Director, Development (AICP, ACA)

Responsible for project management for Genton Cockrum including due diligence, entitlements, environmental review, and forward planning. Prior to working with Genton Cockrum, Ms. Kim worked with Genton Property Group starting in 2006.

Prior to working with Genton Property Group, Ms. Kim worked for several national homebuilding companies, including Richman American Homes and DR Horton. Her responsibilities included land acquisitions, due diligence and forward planning for numerous large-scale subdivisions, mid/high-rise developments and master planned communities.

Ms. Kim also worked as a private consultant serving clients in the telecommunications, oil and gas, mining, commercial and residential industries. She has provided project facilitation at local, State and federal agencies and processed all types of discretionary approvals and development compliance. Ms. Kim’s public sector experience includes working as a Planner for the County of Santa Barbara, City of Orange and City of Chino.

Ms. Kim is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and American Planning Association. Education: California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, BA in City & Regional Planning.
